Biography
A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, David began his economics career at the Henley Centre for Forecasting in the City of London and was in the MBO team that took the organisation private, before selling to WPP plc on a fully successful 5 year earn out.
He then joined marketing services group Brann Worldwide as marketing director culminating in a successful sale to the US Snyder Communications Inc.
He became marketing partner of the Future Foundation, a City based think tank, then ran strategy and product development for the insurance business Age Concern Enterprises.
He has chaired Oxford based care businesses and founded Windrush Care a Cotswolds domiciliary care business. He is on the board of a regional care providers’ association and has served a full term as director of the UK Homecare Association.
Involved with the City of London, he is on the Corporation’s Livery Committee, is past master of the Drapers’ Company and was elected Sheriff of the City of London for 2024-25 during which he established programmes looking at the future of care and developing financial services to pay future care needs.
